The Pilates Exercise principles were designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, Pilates is designed to improve strength and flexibility in ones muscles without building bulk. The Pilates Method is built on six basic principles: concentration, control, center, fluidity, precision, and breath. Pilates movements are smooth leaving one refreshed and not exhausted after a session. Pilates will strengthen and stretch your muscles, focusing on improving your balance and core strength.
Instructor Shannon McConnell, is a certified Mat instructor with the Exercise Safety Association and has been teaching Mat classes for the past 10 years.
You will need a mat, comfortable, fitted clothing, and a water bottle. You will leave class each week feeling rejuvenated and restored. After the 8 weeks you will see and feel a difference in your body.
No prior Pilates experience is necessary, the class is designed for beginners but modifications can be made for those who have experience.
Sessions run in 8 week increments, one class a week, and cost $120
